We have been thinking about empathy this week.

We watched a video clip about a girl in Africa trying to make a tree grow in the hot sun. She was exhausted and dizzy - but then a bead of her sweat fell on the tree and it burst into life and made shade for her.

We wrote about how she must have been feeling and what we would do to help her.

At Investigation times we have been pulling names out of a box two at a time and spending 5 minutes being kind to each other. It was good to spend time with children we may not usually play with.

We were also so lucky that Annette and Nibbles came for a visit. Annette read us the Nibbles story - based on the real guinea pig and the school flood. We all got to give her a cuddle.

  1. So lovely to see everyone working together and being kind to each other. What a lot of Tawa School superstars. Also, how exciting to have a visit from Nibbles and Annette - we miss them at Tawa School
