Wow! What a production!

I was so proud of all the Room 7 children for their performance and their sensible behaviour backstage.

They were amazing!

Thank you to all the parents who came and watched and supported their child and for getting them to the venue on time.

Have a great 2 weeks holiday.
See you all in Term 4.

A lot of time this week has been spent practising our dance for the big school production. We are all getting very excited! We have performed for some other classes in the hall and are also busy learning the song for the finale.

I am very proud of the effort and hard work that everyone has put into this. It will be amazing!

Hope to see you there!

We have been thinking about empathy this week.

We watched a video clip about a girl in Africa trying to make a tree grow in the hot sun. She was exhausted and dizzy - but then a bead of her sweat fell on the tree and it burst into life and made shade for her.

We wrote about how she must have been feeling and what we would do to help her.

At Investigation times we have been pulling names out of a box two at a time and spending 5 minutes being kind to each other. It was good to spend time with children we may not usually play with.

We were also so lucky that Annette and Nibbles came for a visit. Annette read us the Nibbles story - based on the real guinea pig and the school flood. We all got to give her a cuddle.

A huge thank you to everyone for supporting our Onesie day in aid of the Wellington free ambulance. It's such a good cause and the children enjoyed being dressed up.
