A huge thank you to our swimming instructors for making our swim sports afternoon so much fun. The class all participated with enthusiasm and cheered for their classmates. Well done everybody.

A huge thank you to all that families that were able to join us at school for our Expo afternoon. The children enjoyed showing off their Matariki work and making kites. It was lovely to see parents playing with their children and chatting about what they do at school.

This week in Room 7 we introduced a bag of P.E. equipment to use at Investigation Time. This is to help with planning, teamwork, discussions, making up games, negotiating rules, turn taking, co-ordination ......the list goes on. Each day a child is responsible for checking against the equipment list that we have gathered everything together.

So far - everything is present and accounted for! Very responsible Room 7!

Did you ever wonder how to make a paper aeroplane? Ask a Room 7 person!

We found a video showing us what to do and followed the instructions. We helped each other out and did a lot of chatting about the task. Then we had a flying competition. After measuring how far they flew we went again! We had a different winner each time. Try it at home - it's so much fun!

We had two fabulous Life Education sessions this week. We thought about the food groups and what makes a healthy diet. We looked at how the brain sends messages to the body and uses the senses. We also - most importantly, got to meet Harold and give him the special giraffe wave!
